ADAMADAM Adamas Trust, Inc.

Adamas Trust, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADAM) raised its quarterly dividend to $0.30 per share from $0.27, an increase of 11.11%. The shares traded ex-dividend on September 22, 2026.

The new rate represents an annual dividend of $1.20 per share and a forward annual yield of 13.45% based on a share price of $8.80. Adamas has now recorded one consecutive year of dividend growth after previously cutting its payout in 2024. The real estate company has a market capitalization of $790,942,144.

Adamas announced the increase after reporting its second-quarter results. Chief Executive Jason Serrano said the higher payout reflected the “continued strength of Adamas’ earnings” and confidence in its financial position and outlook. He also pointed to the company’s balance sheet and access to capital as sources of flexibility for new investments and distributions. The declaration was filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Portfolio repositioning supports the increase

Adamas is an internally managed real estate investment trust focused primarily on mortgage-related assets. Its portfolio includes credit-sensitive single-family and multifamily assets, Agency residential mortgage-backed securities and other fixed-income investments. Through its Constructive subsidiary, the company also originates business-purpose loans for residential real estate investors. Those operations are described in its second-quarter regulatory filing.

The company, formerly New York Mortgage Trust, adopted the Adamas name in 2025. Its annual report says management has been repositioning the portfolio since 2023 toward Agency mortgage-backed securities and shorter-duration business-purpose loans, with the aim of improving recurring income. The filing also notes that mortgage-REIT results remain exposed to interest rates, financing conditions and credit risk.

What it means for income investors

The increase raises Adamas’ recurring quarterly distribution and produces a double-digit forward yield at the stated share price. That income comes with a SmarterDividends safety score of 49 out of 100 and a D grade, however. Combined with the 2024 reduction, those measures indicate that the size of the yield should be considered alongside the variability inherent in mortgage-REIT earnings and funding costs. The new declaration establishes a higher payout, but it does not eliminate the operating and market risks that can affect future dividends.
