NDSNNDSN Nordson Corporation

Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN) increased its quarterly dividend by 14.63%, raising the payment to $0.94 per share from $0.82.

The industrial company’s shares had an ex-dividend date of Sept. 10, 2026. At the new rate, the dividend annualizes to $3.76 per share and provides a forward yield of 1.2% based on a share price of $307.45.

The increase extends Nordson’s record of annual dividend growth to 39 consecutive years. That history places the latest action within a long-running capital-return program rather than making it an isolated adjustment.

Nordson manufactures precision technologies used to dispense adhesives, coatings, sealants, biomaterials and other fluids. Its products also support test and inspection, fluid management and surface-treatment applications. The company serves customers across consumer nondurable goods, medical, electronics and industrial markets through operations and support offices spanning more than 35 countries, according to its corporate overview.

Business context

Recent operating performance provides context for the higher distribution. Nordson reported record fiscal third-quarter 2026 sales of $818 million, up 10% from the prior year, while organic sales rose approximately 12%. Backlog increased 35%, and management raised its full-year sales and earnings guidance. Chief Executive Sundaram Nagarajan attributed the quarter’s momentum to strong execution and continued demand across the business, particularly in electronics-related end markets. In announcing the dividend action, management said Nordson’s differentiated product portfolio, geographic and end-market diversification, and Ascend operating strategy support cash generation and shareholder returns. The company characterized its approach as a balanced allocation of capital between distributions and reinvestment. Nordson’s dividend announcement

What it means for income investors

The higher quarterly payment increases the annualized cash distribution to $3.76 per share. The 1.2% forward yield remains modest relative to many income-oriented equities, so the event is more notable for the size of the increase and the company’s 39-year growth record than for current yield alone.

Nordson carries a dividend safety score of 98 out of 100 and an A safety grade. Those measures indicate strong assessed coverage and resilience, though they do not guarantee future payments, which remain subject to board approval.
