Blackstone Raises Quarterly Dividend 11.21% to $1.29
Blackstone increased its quarterly dividend to $1.29 per share, giving the alternative-asset manager a 3.65% forward annual yield.
BX — Blackstone Inc.
Blackstone Inc. (NYSE: BX) increased its quarterly dividend to $1.29 per share from $1.16, an 11.21% rise. The shares traded ex-dividend on Aug. 3, 2026.
At a share price of $143.38, Blackstone’s annual dividend of $5.23 per share equates to a forward yield of 3.65%. The company has now recorded two consecutive years of dividend growth, following a cut in 2023.
The increase accompanied a strong second quarter for the alternative-asset manager. Blackstone reported $2.0 billion of distributable earnings and $1.8 billion of fee-related earnings for the period. It also recorded $68.3 billion of quarterly inflows, lifting total assets under management to $1.3463 trillion. Chief Executive Stephen Schwarzman highlighted earnings growth and inflows while pointing to investment opportunities connected with artificial-intelligence infrastructure. Those results provide context for the higher distribution, though Blackstone’s dividend is inherently variable. The company’s stated policy is to distribute approximately 85% of its share of distributable earnings, subject to board adjustments for business needs, investments, legal obligations and future cash requirements. The board retains discretion to reduce or eliminate the dividend. Blackstone 2025 Form 10-K
What it means for income investors
The new quarterly rate raises near-term cash income, but Blackstone’s payout should not be viewed in the same way as a fixed or steadily rising dividend. Because the distribution is tied closely to distributable earnings, quarterly payments can move with realizations, investment performance and other factors affecting the firm’s cash-generating results.
That variability is also reflected in Blackstone’s dividend record: the current increase extends its growth run to two years, but follows the 2023 reduction. SmarterDividends assigns the payout a safety score of 49 out of 100, corresponding to a C grade. For income-focused shareholders, the 3.65% forward yield therefore comes with a history of changing distributions rather than a long, uninterrupted record of annual increases.
