EE — Excelerate Energy, Inc.
Excelerate Energy Inc. (NYSE: EE) raised its quarterly dividend to $0.09 per share from $0.08, an increase of 12.5%. The shares traded ex-dividend on Aug. 19, 2026.
At the new rate, the energy company’s forward annual dividend is $0.36 per share. That equates to a forward yield of 0.91% based on a share price of $39.43.
The increase extends Excelerate Energy’s consecutive dividend-growth record to one year. It is a relatively short history compared with established dividend growers, but the move signals that the board is beginning to raise the distribution rather than simply maintain it.
Contracted LNG operations support the increase
Excelerate owns and operates liquefied natural gas and natural-gas infrastructure, including floating regasification terminals. The company says its integrated business model benefits from predictable revenue generated through long-term contracts, while retaining opportunities to expand in emerging LNG markets. The dividend increase accompanied Excelerate’s second-quarter results. In its earnings release, management said the quarter reflected the earnings power of the company’s contracted infrastructure portfolio and progress on strategic growth projects. Recent commercial developments included an agreement to redeploy a floating storage and regasification unit to an LNG import terminal in Colombia and plans to acquire an LNG carrier for the company’s first vessel-conversion project. Management also linked its capital-allocation approach to investment in infrastructure growth and continued returns of capital to shareholders. The dividend decision therefore comes as Excelerate advances new projects while maintaining a quarterly distribution.
What it means for income investors
For shareholders, the increase adds $0.01 to each quarterly payment per share and raises the indicated annual income rate to $0.36 per share. The 0.91% forward yield remains modest, making dividend growth and payment durability more relevant than current yield alone.
SmarterDividends assigns Excelerate a dividend-safety score of 64 out of 100, corresponding to a B grade. That assessment indicates a generally sound payout profile while leaving room for investors to monitor execution on the company’s capital-intensive growth plans and the development of its still-short dividend-growth record.
