Pan American Silver Raises Quarterly Dividend 2.22%
Pan American Silver increased its quarterly dividend to $0.184 per share from $0.18, giving the stock a 1.39% forward annual yield.
PAAS — Pan American Silver Corp.
Pan American Silver Corp. (NYSE, TSX: PAAS) increased its quarterly dividend by 2.22% to $0.184 per share from $0.18. The shares traded ex-dividend on Aug. 24, 2026.
The new payout equates to an annual dividend of $0.74 per share and a forward annual yield of 1.39%, based on a share price of $53.63.
The increase followed a strong second quarter for the Vancouver-based silver and gold producer. Pan American reported attributable free cash flow of $344 million, including its share of the Juanicipio operation, and said attributable silver production reached 6.47 million ounces. The company also reiterated its full-year operating outlook for silver and gold production and related all-in sustaining costs. Pan American Silver’s second-quarter release provides the underlying operating and financial details.
Share repurchases support per-share growth
The dividend increase is consistent with Pan American’s enhanced shareholder-return framework announced in May. Under that framework, management said share repurchases would reduce the number of common shares outstanding and allow the dividend per share to rise over time while future declarations remain subject to board approval. The framework was also filed with the SEC.
In its second-quarter update, management said strong silver output at La Colorada and Juanicipio contributed to results. The company also highlighted progress at the La Colorada Skarn project and said it continued investing in mine operations and growth projects while returning capital to shareholders.
The dividend does not currently carry a consecutive annual growth streak under the supplied data, and Pan American previously reduced its payout in 2023. Its dividend safety score is 61 out of 100, corresponding to a C grade. Those measures indicate a moderate payout profile rather than an uninterrupted record of annual increases.
What it means for income investors
For shareholders focused on income, the immediate effect is a modestly higher quarterly payment and a 1.39% forward yield at the stated share price. The company’s repurchase-linked framework may support further per-share growth, but future dividends remain discretionary, and the 2023 cut shows that the payout can change with board decisions and business conditions.
