Hawkins Raises Quarterly Dividend 5.26% to $0.20

Hawkins, Inc. (NASDAQ: HWKN) raised its quarterly dividend to $0.20 per share from $0.19, an increase of 5.26%. Shares traded ex-dividend on Aug. 14, 2026.

The new rate equates to an annualized dividend of $0.80 per share. Based on the reference share price of $117.75, the forward annual yield is 0.67%.

The increase extends Hawkins’ dividend-growth streak to seven consecutive years. The company previously reduced its payout in 2018, making the current run a relatively recent rebuilding of its dividend record rather than an uninterrupted multidecade streak.

Hawkins, a basic-materials company founded in 1938, formulates, manufactures, blends and distributes products for water treatment, food and health sciences, and industrial customers. The company operates across the United States, with Water Treatment representing its largest reporting segment, according to its latest annual filing. Hawkins 2026 Form 10-K

Business context

The higher payout follows a period of expanding sales and continued cash generation. Hawkins reported record revenue and gross profit for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, with sales growth across all three reporting segments. Management said organic revenue growth contributed to the performance, while raw-material costs had largely stabilized by the end of the quarter. Hawkins first-quarter fiscal 2027 results

The company has also continued expanding its Water Treatment business through acquisitions. In its latest quarterly update, Hawkins said it purchased Aqua-Chem, a distributor serving customers mainly in Nebraska and Iowa. Chief Executive Patrick Hawkins said the company expected to continue reducing debt while investing in higher-margin businesses and pursuing acquisitions.

Hawkins did not specifically attribute the dividend increase to any single operating development. Its recent results nevertheless provide context for the board’s decision: revenue reached a quarterly record, operating cash flow increased, and management described the balance sheet as strong.

What it means for income investors

The increase adds $0.01 per share to each quarterly payment and $0.04 to the annualized payout. The 0.67% forward yield remains modest, so the event is more significant as evidence of continued payout growth than as a high-current-income proposition.

The locked dividend-safety assessment assigns Hawkins a score of 77 out of 100, equivalent to a B grade. That indicates a comparatively solid payout profile, while the 2018 reduction remains relevant historical context. Investors who bought shares on or after the Aug. 14 ex-dividend date were not entitled to the associated distribution.
